Garrik Amirov, Meet Our Founder

TechVill Appliance Repair was founded in 2018 by Garrik Amirov with a clear mission: provide honest, affordable appliance repair backed by real expertise.

When we started in Calgary, the appliance repair industry had a trust problem. Too many companies profit from confusion – hidden fees, unnecessary repairs, and pushy upselling. We built TechVill differently.

Our approach is simple: diagnose the issue, explain your options clearly, and repair only what needs fixing. This philosophy has guided every one of our 40,000+ service calls and driven our expansion from one Calgary workshop to five offices across Canada.

In 2024, we opened branches in Vancouver, Edmonton, and Winnipeg. In 2025, Ottawa joined the TechVill family.

Our Team

TechVill employs 25 full-time technicians averaging 3-5 years of hands-on appliance repair experience. Our team includes a Red Seal certified professional – the highest standard of trade certification in Canada.

Every technician completes weekly OH&S safety meetings and uses professional diagnostic equipment including multimeters, pressure gauges, and manufacturer-specific service tools.
We’re factory-authorized by GE, Electrolux, Bosch, and Samsung, allowing us to access technical documentation, OEM parts, and specialized training that general repair companies simply don’t have.

Our Commitment to Quality

First-Visit Resolution

76% of our repairs are completed during the initial service call. When parts need ordering, we complete most repairs within 2-3 business days through our OEM supplier network with Reliable Parts and Marcone.

Warranty Protection

Every repair includes a 90-day labour warranty and up to 12 months coverage on manufacturer parts. We stand behind our work – if something isn’t right, our callback team responds within 24 hours.

Insurance & Compliance

TechVill carries $5M in commercial liability insurance and maintains full OH&S compliance across all locations. Our technicians undergo background checks and arrive with corporate IDs and professional uniforms.

Environmental Responsibility

Through our partnership with Metal and Electronics Recycling, we responsibly dispose of approximately 10-12 appliances monthly, keeping old parts and units out of landfills.
