Full Range of GE Home Appliances Covered
GE Appliances has been building household appliances in North America since 1907, producing the continent’s first electric refrigerator in 1925 and pioneering over-the-air software updates for cooking appliances. In Canada, GE operates four tiers: the core GE® line, GE Profile™ for connected-home enthusiasts, Café™ for customizable design, and Monogram® at the ultra-luxury level. TechVill holds factory authorization from GE Appliances and services the complete GE and GE Profile lineup using manufacturer-approved diagnostic procedures and genuine OEM parts.
All replacement parts are genuine GE OEM components sourced through our authorized supplier network. Original manufacturer parts maintain your existing warranty coverage and deliver factory-specification performance. We do not install aftermarket components under warranty.

Call or complete our online form – our dispatch team confirms your appointment within 3-5 minutes and matches your GE issue with a technician experienced in that specific model range and authorization category.

Your technician arrives within the agreed timeframe carrying GE-compatible diagnostic equipment and common OEM components. On-site diagnosis takes 15-30 minutes, followed by repair typically completed within 60-90 minutes.

After successful repair, we test your GE appliance across all functions and activate warranty coverage. If parts need ordering, they typically arrive within 1-3 business days through our OEM supply network, and installation is scheduled at your convenience.
GE Appliances traces its origins to 1907 – inspired by Thomas Edison’s inventive legacy – and built the first electric refrigerator in North America in 1925. For most of the 20th century, GE Appliances operated as a division of General Electric before being acquired by Haier Smart Home in 2016 for $5.6 billion. Under the terms of that deal, Haier retains the right to use the GE brand name until 2056. Despite the change in ownership, GE Appliances remains headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, manufactures in the United States, and operates as an independent company within the Haier portfolio. In Canada, GE sells across four distinct tiers: GE® (accessible, reliable), GE Profile™ (connected-home and innovation-focused), Café™ (design-customizable, bold aesthetics), and Monogram® (ultra-luxury, professional-grade).
This multi-tier structure and GE’s deep investment in connected appliances creates specific repair dynamics:
GE occupies the mid-to-upper tier in Canada across its product lines, with GE Profile, Café, and Monogram models carrying significant premiums. For standard GE® models, if the appliance is under 7 years old and the repair cost is below 40–50% of replacement value, repair is typically the better choice. For GE Profile and Café models – where replacement costs are meaningfully higher and over-the-air software updates extend functional lifespan – the repair threshold extends to approximately 50% and 9 years. We provide an honest assessment during our diagnostic visit, including estimated remaining useful life, before you commit to any repair work.
