TechVill Appliance Repair was founded in Calgary in 2018 by Garrik Amirov, who brought 14+ years of engineering precision from his career at Schlumberger and M-I SWACO. Calgary is our founding headquarters and the city where every TechVill standard was built – from our in-house technician training program to our factory authorizations.
When we started, the appliance repair industry had a trust problem: too many companies profit from confusion – hidden fees, unnecessary repairs, and pushy upselling. We built TechVill differently. Our approach is simple: diagnose the issue, explain your options clearly, and repair only what needs fixing. That philosophy has guided every one of our 60,000+ service calls.
In 2024, we opened branches in Vancouver, Edmonton, and Winnipeg. In 2025, Ottawa joined the TechVill family.
Our Calgary team is led by a Red Seal certified professional – the highest standard of trade certification in Canada – and averages 3-5 years of hands-on appliance repair experience. Every technician completes TechVill’s in-house training program and weekly OH&S safety meetings before handling a service call, and works with professional diagnostic equipment including multimeters, pressure gauges, and manufacturer-specific service tools. We are factory-authorized by GE, Electrolux, Bosch, and Samsung.

Our OEM parts come through Reliable Parts and Marcone, two of the largest OEM distributors in North America, giving us access to genuine replacement components for every major brand. We are also a recommended service provider for leading Calgary appliance retailers and warranty providers.
76% of our repairs are completed during the initial service call. When parts need ordering, we complete most repairs within 2-3 business days through our OEM supplier network.
Every repair includes a 90-day labour warranty plus up to 1-year manufacturer parts warranty. If something is not right, our callback team responds within 24 hours.
TechVill carries $5M in commercial liability insurance and maintains full OH&S compliance. Technicians undergo background checks and arrive with corporate IDs and professional uniforms.
Through our partnership with Metal and Electronics Recycling, we responsibly dispose of old parts and units to keep them out of landfills.
